It doesn’t really matter
Why nor how nor when.
It’s just never ever easy
To lose your very best friend.
It’s already been a year
And to my eyes it still brings tears
You promised me forever, How could you go?
I think about you all the time, And I still don’t know

remain rooted in the same seed that birthed it
Year by year, the branches bear and reap sweet, ripe
fruit, with, along the way,
Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Another day with you not here… with you, above.
Each day I wake up sleepy, and roll to see your side
Empty as my heart, since the day that you died.Read More »
You two had been together
All those wonderful years
Then the angels came and took him
Now you’re left with just your tears
Oh, I know how much you miss him
And you feel you can’t go on
But the Lord has a way of healing
He will help you to be strong
